Chicago pulls away after the break
Seattle had the NFL’s best Monday Night Football winning percentage entering the game. Chicago ended the night with a 34-17 win in Seattle and a 6-2 record, its third victory in a row.
The Bears scored first on an 80-yard, 17-play drive that took 8:32 and ended with a one-yard Caleb Williams pass to Luther Burden III. Seattle’s opponents had scored a touchdown on the opening possession in none of the previous 16 games, and that streak ended there. Jason Myers kicked a 27-yard field goal, and Sam Darnold found Jaxon Smith-Njigba from 43 yards with 30 seconds left in the half, though Myers missed the extra point. Chicago led 13-9 at the break, with Cairo Santos adding kicks of 44 and 38 yards.
