Two goals in three minutes
It was over before Stuttgart had settled. Batrakov scored in the 12th minute at RAMS Park and again in the 15th, and Galatasaray held on to win 2-0 on Tuesday evening in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase.
The pair took the midfielder to four goals in this season’s competition. He had already scored against Barcelona and against Lille.
Stuttgart did not fold. They finished with five shots on target to Galatasaray’s four, and Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir made five saves against two for Fabian Bredlow at the other end. The visitors simply could not find a way back after those three early minutes.

A rough night for Stuttgart
Sebastian Hoeneß lost a midfielder early. Atakan Karazor was booked in the second minute and went off injured in the 18th, three minutes after the second goal, with Spalt replacing him.
Discipline did not improve. Undav, Spalt, Prömel and Hendriks also went into the book, five yellow cards in all against three for the hosts, with Chris Kavanagh refereeing.
Okan Buruk made his changes late. Rafael Leao came on for Baris Alper Yilmaz in the 68th minute, and Leroy Sane replaced Batrakov in the 77th, which gave the scorer an early rest.
