NFL: Ayomanor leaves practice with shoulder scare

Collision at practice

A minor scare in Nashville. Elic Ayomanor left Thursday’s session after taking a hit to his left shoulder.

The Tennessee Titans receiver was hurt on what looked like a routine play, a red-zone drill, before colliding with safety Kevin Winston Jr. and suddenly everything changed.

Coach Robert Saleh sounded relatively calm. “It appears to be stable, but we’ll know more later,” he said. No panic, then. But no guarantees either.

A young player Tennessee are banking on

The timing isn’t ideal. Ayomanor, 23, has been building momentum.

In his rookie season in 2025, the Medicine Hat, Alberta native caught 41 passes for 515 yards and four touchdowns. Sixteen games, 14 starts. A real role already.

Taken in the fourth round in 2025 out of the University of Tennessee, he is one of the pieces the franchise is counting on for the future. The only question now is how bad the damage is. Tennessee waits, and hopes.
