Faroe Islands vs Kazakhstan – Free Nations League Prediction – September 26, 2026

Faroe Islands vs Kazakhstan: the hosts have won four of their last five, including a 1-0 already against this opponent Nations League

The Faroe Islands have won four of their last five matches. One of those wins came against Kazakhstan, a 1-0 success on 18 November 2025.

That head-to-head result is the biggest data point heading into Saturday night. It came less than a year ago and involves the exact same two teams meeting again.

The game takes place at Torsvollur in Torshavn, kicking off at 18:00 Paris time. It opens Group C3, a few hours before Slovakia meet Moldova.

That Group C3 line-up features Kazakhstan, Slovakia, the Faroe Islands and Moldova. Slovakia, down from League B, are rightly seen as the favourites to finish top.

The Faroes arrive on the back of a World Cup qualifying campaign that turned heads. Two wins in three days in October 2025, including a 4-0 demolition of Montenegro and a 2-1 win over Czechia.

Kazakhstan, by contrast, have not faced a European side since 9 June and a 3-1 defeat to Hungary. Their spring was built around matches against Namibia, Comoros and Armenia.

The league phase ends on 17 November 2026, with promotion to League B for the group winner and relegation to League D for the bottom side. For both teams on Saturday, the real prize is second place.

Faroe Islands: 10 goals in five games, and two clean sheets at home Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands have scored 10 goals across their last five matches, conceding five. They have found the net in every one of those games.

The high point came in October 2025. A 4-0 win over Montenegro on the 9th, then a 2-1 victory over Czechia on the 12th, both in front of their own fans.

Those wins were no accident of scheduling. Montenegro are operating at the same continental level as the Faroes, while Czechia reached the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.

Their only defeat in that spell came in Croatia, a 3-1 loss against a side of a different class altogether. Even then, the Faroes still scored.

The two clean sheets in that run came in Torshavn, against Montenegro and Kazakhstan. That latter result, a 1-0 win on 18 November 2025, is the direct reference point for Saturday.

Their latest outing underlined the team’s consistency. A late 2-1 win in San Marino on 28 March made it five straight games with at least one goal scored.

Kazakhstan: five goals in five games, and no win against a European side Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan have scored five goals in their last five matches. They have also conceded five, three of those in the defeat to Hungary alone.

Their two wins in that spell came outside European competition. A 2-0 win over Namibia on 25 March, followed by a 1-0 victory over Comoros on 31 March.

Those victories shared a similar theme: tight control, no goals conceded, but only three scored across the two games combined.

Back against European opposition, things were a lot less convincing. A 1-1 draw with Armenia on 6 June, then a 3-1 loss to Hungary three days later.

That November 2025 meeting also hangs over Kazakhstan’s case. Beaten 1-0 by these same Faroe Islands, they failed to score.

The trip to Torshavn adds a challenge this side knows all too well. The Faroese pitch and the conditions at the end of September do not exactly suit the patient possession game Kazakhstan tried to build in the spring.

Football Prediction Faroe Islands vs Kazakhstan

Our prediction: Faroe Islands win

The first reason is the head-to-head. The Faroes beat this same Kazakhstan side 1-0 on 18 November 2025, without conceding.

The second is the hosts’ current run. Four wins from five, 10 goals scored, and at least one goal in every one of those matches.

Kazakhstan have beaten only Namibia and Comoros since November, and they shipped three against Hungary in their most recent European outing. Take the Faroese win in Torshavn.

Before anything else, a word on our free predictions

  • What we publish on mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We offer an opinion, a read on the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a goal from nowhere… and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no risk-free bet. Even when something looks obvious, it never really is. And yes, that means you can lose. In fact, sooner or later, you will.
  • The best approach is to keep it sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Do not touch money you need to live on. And above all, do not chase losses. That usually ends badly.
  • Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your life, if it winds you up or puts you under pressure, take a break. And if you need to, speak to a specialist service. That’s what it’s there for.
  • At the end of the day, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and never goes away, even with the best analysis in the world.
  • Important reminder: betting is illegal for minors and must comply with the law in your country. Gambling can spiral quickly (money losses, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment from us

Our predictions are not contracts. They carry no legal weight. In plain English: you cannot use them to claim anything if a bet loses.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But in the meantime, a team sheet can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis can quickly go stale. We cannot be held responsible for that.

Your role
