One lap, job done
Izan Guevara won the Moto2 race at the Austrian Grand Prix this morning at the Red Bull Ring.
He didn’t have to hang around. By the end of lap one, the Spaniard was already out front. He stayed there to the flag. Twenty-five points in the bag.
Filip Salac finished second. David Alonso completed the podium. The Colombian is off to MotoGP with Honda next season, and he gave his name one last push before the big move.

Manuel Gonzalez limits the damage
The championship leader came home fourth. No podium, but no real harm either. Manuel Gonzalez picks up thirteen points and stays in control at the top of the standings.

The Red Bull Ring smiled on the Spaniards
A few hours after Guevara, Pedro Acosta claimed his first MotoGP win on the same circuit. Two Spaniards, two races, one track.
In Moto3, Maximo Quiles took the win after David Almansa crashed out while leading. Quiles extends his advantage at the top of the championship. Brian Uriarte and Alvaro Carpe completed the podium on the KTM Ajo machines.
