The game was done inside half an hour
Feyenoord beat Utrecht 5-0 at Stadion Feijenoord on Sunday lunchtime in Eredivisie round seven. Forty-seven thousand five hundred fans watched the contest get away from Utrecht before the half-hour mark.
Anis Hadj Moussa opened the scoring in the 6th minute, finishing from a Givairo Read assist. Three minutes later, Nacho Ferri made it two after a Mika Marmol pass. The Algerian winger struck again in the 33rd minute to complete his brace. 3-0 at the break.
Luciano Valente converted a penalty in the 53rd minute. Gaoussou Diarra wrapped it up in the 64th, set up by Gjivai Zechiël. Five scorers for five goals, with Hadj Moussa the only man to score twice.

Six big chances to none
The gap showed in the numbers. Feyenoord created six big chances, Utrecht none. The Rotterdam side had 57% of the ball and fired 23 shots.
Hadj Moussa finished with the top rating on the day, 9 out of 10. Three successful dribbles, three completed crosses or corners, two goals. He now joins Zechiël and Artem Stepanov at the top of the Eredivisie scoring chart with five goals.
Givairo Read earned an 8. The full-back created two big chances and won seven of his nine duels. Oussama Targhalline got the same mark, with three interceptions and 46 successful passes from 49.
Utrecht never turned up
Utrecht’s staff went with a 5-4-1 shape, with Artem Stepanov leading the line on his own. The low block did nothing to hold Feyenoord back. Arthur Zagré lost all eight of his duels, while Sem van Duijn lost all six.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst was able to ring the changes after the interval. Sem Steijn, Javi Lopez and Robbie Nelson came on once the result was beyond doubt. Jerry St. Juste completed 72 of his 76 passes, the best total in the match.
Feyenoord go top of the Eredivisie on 17 points. Utrecht stay 15th on five after seven rounds. Nacho Ferri, meanwhile, was fouled five times, the most in the game, which tells you everything about Utrecht’s only real answer to him.
