Two matches, two wins
Robert “Sebatron” Brustein has won his first two matches in the Madden Championship Series Pro League. He was named player of the day after the opening “Game Time” round on Tuesday.
He first beat Jalen “Astro” Morrow-Reynolds 34-28. Then he edged Noah “Noah” Snipes 43-42.
The second game went down to the wire. “People say I got lucky, but I was down 14 with no ball in the fourth quarter. That’s a fight, nothing but a fight,” said the 22-year-old. “Madden is a long game. You don’t win it on one play.”

A qualifier among champions
Sebatron wasn’t supposed to be here. To reach this first eight-player Pro League, he had to get through open qualifying, then a double-elimination event with 256 entrants. Only four spots were up for grabs.
The field is stacked. Drini “Drini” Gjoka is the reigning Madden Bowl champion, having beaten Astro in February, and he also won the event in 2019. Henry “Henry” Leverette owns two solo titles, in 2022 and 2024, plus a team crown in 2021. Jonathan “JonBeast” Marquez was runner-up in 2025.
Wesley “Wes” Gittens completes the line-up. A member of the 2021 championship team, he has lost two individual finals to Henry.
The standings after round one
Wes opened with a 35-30 win over Drini. Drini then fell to Astro 31-27. Henry saw off JonBeast 33-29. Noah outplayed Jeremy “Chosen” Murphy 47-35, before Chosen picked up his first win against JonBeast, 50-37.
Sebatron leads the way on two wins. Henry and Wes are next at 1-0. Astro, Chosen and Noah sit at 1-1. JonBeast and Drini are bringing up the rear at 0-2.
The next three stops are “Breakouts” on October 6, “Most Feared” on November 11 and “Zero Chill” on December 15. The top four will make the playoffs and fight for the title.
