The knee had been there for weeks
Sunday was not where this started. Dickerson said he got rolled up in practice a few weeks back and figured it would quiet down. It never did.
He played anyway in the 24-22 win over Washington. Four pressures allowed, no lateral movement, an offensive line that looked shaky for long stretches. Monday’s imaging ended the debate.
Different knee from last year, too. August 2025 was the torn meniscus and the surgery, followed by 15 consecutive starts and an admission afterwards that he had rushed back. Two years, same pattern.
He is doing it differently now. Sit, heal properly, be available for the stretch run rather than limp through seventeen weeks at 70 percent.
Kendall gets his month
Nick Sirianni offered no criticism. “He plays through anything. We have won a lot of games with Landon.” The head coach pointed to his power in the run game and what he has meant to Philadelphia’s best seasons.
Drew Kendall steps in. Fifth-round pick in 2025 out of Boston College, he was one of the offseason’s better stories inside the building. Young, cheap, and the reason the Eagles are not scanning the waiver wire this week.
Whether that holds up over four real games is another matter.
