The Merengue close out the La Liga round

The picture has shifted in a matter of days. Beaten in Seville by Betis for their first defeat of the season, Madrid bounced back on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu with a ruthless 4-1 win over Rayo Vallecano. Twelve points, second place, three points behind an unbeaten Barcelona: if they want to keep pace, they cannot afford any slip-ups in the Levante. The Franjiverdes, meanwhile, are still hunting their first win of the campaign. They did, though, come away from Bilbao with a 1-1 draw on Saturday after a narrow 3-2 defeat to Real Sociedad, which at least softens the look of their position in the danger zone.

Broadcast: what changed this summer
The Spanish league left beIN Sports on August 15, 2026. DAZN and Disney+ now split full La Liga coverage in France under a three-season deal, and both platforms are carrying this one. One subscription to either service is enough to watch Real Madrid tonight, on a smart TV, set-top box, computer, tablet or smartphone.
