August 28, Lille-PSG, and a few words too many
The match is long gone. The words are still hanging around.
Olivier Letang has been summoned by the disciplinary commission. The reason: his criticism of the officials after Lille’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Friday, August 28. The information comes from L’Equipe.
The Lille chairman will have to explain himself.

Who pulled the trigger
This wasn’t the commission acting on its own. It was referred by the National Ethics Council.
The commission meets every Wednesday. It reviews misconduct, breaches and incidents that have blighted recent rounds across the professional leagues. This time, it’s an executive in the dock.
It will have to decide whether punishment is needed.
Letang plans to fight his corner
The Dogues chief isn’t going to just sit there and take the summons. He intends to use it to defend himself and answer for his behaviour after the game against PSG.
The question is what the commission decides to hold against him. A warning? A touchline ban? Nothing has been settled yet.
As for LOSC, they’ve got other things on their mind. After beating Troyes at the weekend, they sit top of Ligue 1.
