Archer ends Auxerre’s wait
Eleven goals shipped in three games. That was Auxerre’s season until Saturday night.
AJA beat Nice 1-0 on matchday four, and Archer settled it in the 74th minute. One goal, three points, and a first win for the Burgundy side after a start nobody at the club wants to revisit. The back line held for the full 90 this time, which mattered more than the scoreline.
Nice drop to last. Les Aiglons still have not won, they lost Ali Abdi over the summer, and the attack has yet to find any rhythm at all. LOSC visit next.

Two top-four sides, zero shots on target from Lyon
Paris FC and Lyon met at Jean-Bouin with both near the top, and neither found a way through. Sinayoko went for it in the 15th minute. Kebbal threatened in the 30th. Greif was equal to both.
Lyon did not test the goalkeeper once before the break. Koleosho came closest after the restart, his effort in the 50th minute deflected away by Moussa Niakhaté. A tangle between Lees-Melou and Tolisso inside the Lyon box went unpunished, and the home bench did not care for that one.
Both clubs sit on eight points, two off Monaco and Rennes. Lyon head to Anderlecht for their European opener.
Two goals in two minutes, then Toulouse remembered how to play
The Moustoir produced the night’s only proper mess. Baldé scored in the 37th minute, Mbamba added a second in the 39th, and Lorient walked in at half-time looking comfortable.
Toulouse came back out and fixed it. Tengstedt headed one in three minutes after the restart, Jørgensen finished coolly in the 69th, and the points were split. Les Merlus stay mid-table ahead of a trip to Le Mans. Toulouse are still in the drop zone, still without a win.
Le Havre and Angers played out a goalless draw that helped neither. The Normans are yet to win anything this season.
