Al Khaleej vs Al-Nassr : a winless club up against Postecoglou’s goal machine 
Two goals in six matches. That’s Al Khaleej’s attacking return heading into a meeting with one of the sharpest front lines in the Saudi top flight. The gap is stark, and it pretty much sums up the stakes for this seventh round.
Al-Nassr arrive in Dammam with 15 points on the board, five wins from six and 15 goals scored. Ange Postecoglou’s side are one point off leaders Al Qadsiah and still right in the title hunt.
At the other end, Jose Gomes is still waiting for his first win of the season. His team sit 13th with four points, all of them picked up through draws.
The head-to-head record also makes grim reading for the home side. Al-Nassr have won nine of the last 10 meetings, including each of the last seven.
Three away games, one defeat. Al-Nassr have travelled well enough to start the season. But behind the scores, there’s a clear defensive issue that must be irritating the staff. On Saturday at 20:00 local time at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, they are back on the road again, with a back line that keeps coughing up chances.

Al Khaleej: four draws and a chronic finishing problem 
Al Khaleej began with back-to-back 0-0 draws, against Al-Taawoun and Al Shabab. A third point-sharing result, 1-1 at Abha, hinted at some early momentum.
That quickly faded. A 5-1 hammering at home to Al-Hilal, followed by a 3-0 defeat at NEOM, put the club back in its place.
Their last outing brought yet another goalless draw, 0-0 against Al Riyadh. Across six rounds, Al Khaleej have failed to score in four of them.
With only two goals to their name, Jose Gomes’ side have the second-worst attack in the league. This isn’t a blip. It’s a pattern.
The defence has at least held up reasonably well, conceding nine goals, with six of those coming in the two defeats. Strip out the Al-Hilal home game and the trip to NEOM, and the defensive numbers look almost respectable.
Gomes goes into this match with no fresh injury concerns, so he has a full squad to choose from. Mohammed Al-Khabrani and Kiki Kouyate should anchor the centre of defence, with Anthony Moris in goal.
Up front, Thamer Al-Khaibri is expected to lead the line, backed by Angelo Fulgini and Miguel Crespo in midfield. That trio carries most of the home side’s limited attacking threat.
Even so, the maths is brutal. To beat Al-Nassr, they will probably need at least two goals — the same number they’ve managed across the whole of the opening six matchdays.

Al-Nassr: Ronaldo rediscovered, Felix back, and the title in sight 
Al-Nassr have won five of their six league games and sit on 15 points. The only blot on the copybook is the 2-1 defeat away to Al Ittihad.
The attack is flying, with 15 goals in six rounds, or two and a half per game. The 4-0 rout of Al Riyadh and the 3-0 win over Al Fateh show just how much firepower Postecoglou has at his disposal.
The response to the slip in Jeddah was immediate. Al-Nassr beat Abha 2-1 in midweek thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo header and a goal from Abdullah Al-Hamdan.
Ronaldo is now up to three goals for the season. The Portugal captain should lead the line again in Dammam.
Joao Felix returns from suspension after sitting out the Abha match. His link-up with Ronaldo gives Postecoglou his preferred attacking pair back.
There are still two absences to deal with. Sultan Al-Ghannam is continuing rehab after an ACL injury, while Kingsley Coman remains sidelined with a hamstring problem and no return date has been given.
The real issue for Postecoglou is at the back. Six goals conceded in six games is hardly disastrous, but four straight matches allowing at least one goal will irritate a coach who wants control.
Against a side that has scored only twice in six games, this looks like the ideal chance to post a clean sheet. That is one of the targets the staff have set for this trip.

A straight Al-Nassr win offers no real value, so the margin is where the play is. The numbers make it believable: 15 goals scored in six rounds on one side, just two on the other.
The history points the same way, with Al-Nassr winning seven in a row against Al Khaleej and nine of the last 10 meetings. Against Al-Hilal and NEOM, the other two heavyweights they’ve faced this season, the hosts were beaten 5-1 and 3-0.
Ronaldo is back in form, Felix returns from suspension and Al Khaleej simply don’t look equipped to hold on for 90 minutes. Al-Nassr to win by two clear goals or more.
