Como vs Parma: seven goals to one, and the attacking gap is glaring 
Como have scored seven goals in three Serie A rounds. Parma have managed just one over the same stretch.
That six-goal gap between two clubs who have played the same number of matches is the starkest contrast of this fourth round. It shows up in the table too: fourth against 16th.
The game takes place on Monday 14 September at 18:30, at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. The Lombardy ground holds only 13,602, one of the smallest capacities in Italian football.
This match was originally set for Sunday at 15:00. Lega Serie A pushed it back to Monday because Como played the first Champions League match in their history the previous Thursday, at home to RB Leipzig.
Cesc Fabregas called it a historic moment for the club on the eve of that European night. Lucas Da Cunha, the captain, spoke of a dream coming true.
So Monday is less about who has the better side and more about what happens after the spotlight. A club making its Champions League debut still has to prove it can back it up in the league.

Como have seven points after three matches, with two wins and a draw. The Lombardy club are the only unbeaten side in Serie A outside the top three.
Seven scored, three conceded: that +4 goal difference puts Fabregas’s side among the four best attacks in the division. It is no fluke.
Three players sit on two Serie A goals apiece: Martin Baturina, Assane Diao and Anastasios Douvikas. No other Italian club has as many names at that level.
That spread tells you everything about Fabregas’s plan. The goals are not pinned on one man, which makes the attack much harder to shut down.
At the back, Jean Butez is protected by Yan Couto, Jacobo Ramon, Trevoh Chalobah and Alex Valle. Three goals conceded in three games point to a defence that has done the job so far.
Nico Paz remains the main focal point of Como’s play, with Maximo Perrone doing the dirty work to win it back and start again. Da Cunha brings the link play on the right.
The smaller Sinigaglia changes the feel of the night. Just over 13,000 seats is around a third of San Siro, with a closeness to the pitch that few Italian grounds can match.
The real issue is the schedule. Playing a historic Champions League night on Thursday, then turning around for Monday, demands a mental freshness this group has never had to manage.
Fabregas himself played down the occasion in his press briefing, presenting the European tie as just another game. That line is clearly meant to stop any Monday letdown.

Parma have taken one point from three Serie A matches. One goal scored, four conceded.
Only Genoa and Fiorentina are as blunt up front at this stage, with one goal each. That trio is hardly setting the world alight, and the table reflects it.
Their first point of the season came on matchday three, against Monza. Two teams with zero points shared the spoils without ever really settling anything.
Carlos Cuesta has been in charge since the summer and has installed a demanding 3-5-2 built on structure. The Spanish coach leans on Edoardo Corvi in goal and a back line led by captain Enrico Delprato.
Mariano Troilo and Dominik Drobnic complete the three-man defence. Four goals conceded in three matches is manageable enough; Parma’s problem is further up the pitch.
In midfield, Giovanni Fabbian and Mandela Keita provide the legs, with Sascha Britschgi and Emanuele Valeri on the flanks. The final pass is badly missing.
Up front, El Bilal Toure and David Romero have led the line without much joy since the restart. The absence of Nicolussi Caviglia on the last matchday only cut the creative options further.
The Stadio Ennio Tardini and its 22,000 seats have not had much to celebrate this season. One goal in three matches does not leave many chances for noise.
Cuesta also has to deal with doubts over Bernabe and Diallo, both flagged as fitness concerns last time out. A squad already short on invention can hardly afford that kind of hit.
Going to the Sinigaglia with just one goal on the board against a defence that concedes only once a game leaves Parma in a bad spot. The Emiliani will need to stay in the match first and ask questions later.

Our prediction: Como to win
Seven goals to one, three different scorers on two goals apiece on one side and an attack that has gone nowhere on the other: the gap going forward is too wide to ignore.
Parma are still without a win and head to the only unbeaten team in the league outside the top three. They do not look equipped to nick a result by the lake.
Como’s European tiredness is real, but Fabregas has enough depth to rotate without losing too much. The Larians should take all three points on Monday night.
