Arsenal – Bayern Munich: top-of-the-table clash at the Emirates
Arsenal host Bayern Munich in one of the biggest fixtures of the European round. Both teams top the group with four wins from four. One of those runs has to end this Wednesday in London.
Arsenal brimming with confidence
On Sunday Arsenal fans were ready for a tight derby after spotting Tottenham’s ultra-defensive line-up. It didn’t go that way. Eberechi Eze — who chose Arsenal this summer — produced a historic Premier League hat-trick. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring before the Gunners took control and finished 4-1.
Even Richarlison’s unlikely strike didn’t unsettle Arteta’s men, who now sit six points clear at the top. Form’s excellent, and in Europe they’re perfect: four games, four wins, 11 goals scored, none conceded.
Only Bayern can better those numbers thanks to a higher goals tally. The goal is simple: keep the perfect run and notch a 16th straight group-stage win at the Emirates. This, though, is probably the sternest test the Londoners will face.
Bayern arrive with serious firepower
Arsenal’s defensive solidity is unmatched this season, but Bayern come with an impressive attacking toolbox. Their 2-1 win in Paris last time proved it — though Luis Diaz, who grabbed a brace, will be suspended after a sending-off just before the break.
In the Bundesliga the Bavarians hit another six on Saturday, overturning 0-2 to beat Freiburg 6-2. Michael Olise was electric, involved in five goals. Under Vincent Kompany, Bayern are unbeaten this season; their only blip was a draw with Union Berlin before the break.
Defence still has holes, though — only seven clean sheets in 18 games. History favours the Germans too: five games unbeaten against the Gunners, with four wins in that run. The Londoners fell narrowly (3-2 on aggregate) in the 2023-24 quarter-finals.
Football Prediction Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
Both teams to score
Arsenal can exploit Bayern’s set-piece problems, just like Freiburg did. The absences of Diaz, Musiala and Davies hurt, but Olise and Kane keep the threat alive. An open game and a draw looks plausible.

First — a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot reading, never a guarantee. Sport’s unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, it rarely is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable sooner or later.
- Best practice: be reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live. And above all: don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life, annoying you or stressing you out, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialised organisation. That’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Essential reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (losses, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. Plain and simple: you can’t rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.
Information changes
A prediction is always based on what we know when we write it. But line-ups change, a player gets injured, the weather turns… and the analysis can be outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
