Ligue 1: Predicted lineups as Marseille host unbeaten Paris FC

Two games, zero goals conceded

Paris FC have not been breached yet this season. Not once in two matches. That is the wall Marseille have to knock down on Sunday night at 20:45, when Ligue 1 closes out matchday three.

Marseille arrive with three points. They tore Strasbourg apart on opening weekend, 4-0. Then Monaco brought them back to earth, 0-2. Two weeks, two completely different sides.

The promoted visitors, meanwhile, have four points and that clean sheet still intact. Paris FC have simply started better than their hosts.

Genesio resists the urge to tinker

Bruno Genesio looks set to stay with his 4-2-3-1. Jeffrey de Lange keeps the gloves, behind a back four of Timothy Weah, CJ Egan-Riley, Nayef Aguerd and Emerson.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg should partner Himad Abdelli in the engine room. Amine Harit and Igor Paixao take the flanks, with Angel Gomes tucked in behind Amine Gouiri.

Paixao is the one to watch. Marseille held onto him in the closing hours of the window despite Sunderland circling, and he now fills the gap left by Quinten Timber, who slipped away to Crystal Palace with the market almost shut.

Rosenior counts three absentees

Liam Rosenior is expected to name an unchanged shape. Kevin Trapp stays in the Paris FC goal, shielded by Adama Camara, Diego Coppola, Samir Chergui and Hamari Traore, the last of those stepping in for the suspended Otavio.

Maxime Lopez and Pierre Lees-Melou form the double pivot. Ilan Kebbal, Pablo Pagis and Luca Koleosho, the latter preferred to Moses Simon on his return, sit behind Lassine Sinayoko.

Jonathan Ikone, Nhoa Sangui and Willem Geubbels all miss out for the visitors.

Predicted lineups. Marseille: De Lange, Weah, Egan-Riley, Aguerd, Emerson, Højbjerg, Abdelli, Harit, A. Gomes, Paixao, Gouiri. Paris FC: Trapp, A. Camara, Coppola, Chergui, H. Traore, M. Lopez, Lees-Melou, Kebbal, Pagis, Koleosho, Sinayoko.
