Five years, 40 million euros, one flank to fill
Manchester City have confirmed the arrival of Allan Elias. The 22-year-old Brazilian winger joins from Palmeiras on a deal that runs to the summer of 2031, still subject to international clearance.
The fee is understood to be around 40 million euros.
He is there for a specific reason. Savinho has gone to Tottenham, and City wanted a like-for-like option on the right.

Count the departures. Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Nathan Ake. Then James Trafford, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and Savinho. Nico Gonzalez and Omar Marmoush are both being tipped to follow.
Pep Guardiola walked away in the spring after ten years, and that ending gave the club licence to tear the squad down and start again.
Ayyoub Bouaddi, reportedly a 100 million euro signing, is the answer to the Rodri problem. Elias is the answer further forward. All of it squeezed into the closing days of the window.
Left foot, right wing, 42 games
Elias came through at Palmeiras and played 42 matches last season, scoring six and setting up six more.
He is left-footed and lines up on the right, and he has filled in at wing-back too. That flexibility is exactly what City have leaned on tactically for years.
No senior Brazil cap yet. Back home he was seen as one of the league’s genuine prospects, which is why his first English winter will be watched so closely.
