Eleven days, one interception, one release
Trevon Diggs signed with Seattle on 19 August. He was gone by 30 August, released as the Seahawks trimmed to 53 players for the start of the 2026 season.
The defending Super Bowl champions may not be finished with him. General manager John Schneider said Sunday that the 27-year-old cornerback remains part of the club’s practice-squad plans.
Diggs had actually played well enough to make the decision awkward. He picked off a pass on Friday in the 9-9 preseason tie against Kansas City, and it still did not buy him a roster spot.

Eleven picks in one year, six in the four that followed
In 2021, his second season in the league, Diggs led the NFL with 11 interceptions and took two of them back for scores. Stefon Diggs’ younger brother looked like a cornerstone corner, and Dallas treated him as one.
Then the drop. Six interceptions across the next four seasons, and a body that kept giving out. He tore an ACL in 2023, a few months after putting his name to a five-year, $97 million extension. Knee and groin trouble followed in 2024. Another knee issue cost him time last year.
Six seasons in total: 20 interceptions, two pick-sixes, a fumble recovery, a sack.
Three teams since December
Dallas waived him on 30 December. Green Bay put in a claim the following day.
He got two games with the Packers, the regular-season finale against Minnesota and the wild-card defeat to Chicago. Ten days after that loss, Green Bay let him go too.
Seattle made three clubs in eight months. The door there has not shut completely, though what is behind it now looks nothing like the deal Dallas handed him three summers ago.
