173 million gone, and the chequebook is still open
Manchester United have spent 173 million euros this summer. Cadena Ser say they are not finished, a report relayed on Wednesday by Foot Mercato.
Midfield was the flagged problem the moment Casemiro left. Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba have all arrived since. On paper the rebuild is complete. Off it, United’s hierarchy are said to be readying another approach for Eduardo Camavinga, valued at 50 million euros.
The 23-year-old has a Real Madrid contract running to 2029. United have circled him for a while, and his standing in the Spanish capital slipped last season.

Mourinho’s team sheet may decide this one
The English plan turns on timing. Any bid would land in the closing stretch of the window, once United have watched how Jose Mourinho uses Camavinga in the opening weeks.
Early evidence cuts both ways. He was a substitute against Espanyol, yet the Spanish press expect him to start against Real Sociedad on Wednesday night. Reinstate him and the deal becomes very hard. Bench him again and it becomes very easy.
That is United’s bet: let La Liga answer the question first, then move.
Balde, the other file open in Spain
Second name on the list is Alejandro Balde. The 22-year-old left-back is reportedly in a difficult patch under Hansi Flick, with Spanish outlets describing the relationship between the two as broken. He was left out for Barcelona’s La Liga opener.
Balde is now said to be weighing his options, and United are reportedly willing to put 30 million euros on the table for a player contracted until 2028. His situation is also said to be unsettling Lamine Yamal, which pushes this story well beyond one position.
