Spalletti wants a rival for Kolo Muani
Juventus are not done in the transfer market just yet. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady have added Alexander Sørloth to their shortlist as they look to build real competition for Randal Kolo Muani.
The logic is easy enough to follow. After letting Lois Openda move to Lyon this summer, Luciano Spalletti has left himself short of attacking cover. Kolo Muani is now the lone centre-forward, with no serious backup as a packed schedule starts to bite in the autumn. The Italian coach and the club’s hierarchy would therefore welcome the Norway striker’s arrival.
The move would likely come in the form of a loan with an option to buy. Talks are said to have already taken place with Atletico Madrid.

Zirkzee as the fallback option
Turin have a plan B ready if that deal falls through. Should the Sørloth pursuit go nowhere, the Bianconeri would switch to Joshua Zirkzee, again on loan, from Manchester United.
Two targets, one template. Juventus do not want to tie up transfer funds in this position and are chasing the cheapest possible deal with a week left in the window.
There is still the Atletico hurdle. The Madrid club already have enough noise around their attacking unit and are not likely to give up another option without something worthwhile in return.
An attack reshaped in Turin
Juventus’ forward line has changed plenty this summer. Openda has gone to Lyon, Kolo Muani has stayed and is now leading the line without a named challenger. That imbalance is exactly what Spalletti wants to fix before 1 September.
One important note: this is still just a report. No formal bid has surfaced, Atletico have said nothing, and Gazzetta is talking about talks, not a done deal. This one could still swing either way.
