Eighteen points in ten minutes
Paige Bueckers scored 18 points in the first quarter in Arlington on Sunday. Seattle managed 17 with an entire roster. Dallas led 34-17 after ten minutes, and the rest of the afternoon was paperwork on the way to a 92-70 win.
Bueckers took eight shots in that opening quarter and made seven of them, including four of four from behind the arc. She finished the game with 32 points.

A number the franchise has never passed
The result moves Dallas to 22-16 and level with the highest win total any Wings side has produced in a single season. A home game against Portland on Tuesday would break that mark and clinch a playoff place at the same time.
Some context sharpens the performance. Dallas played without Azzi Fudd, whose regular season ended with knee surgery, and without Aziaha James, sidelined by a leg problem. The Wings still shot 33 of 66 from the field, 11 of 23 from three-point range and 15 of 17 from the free-throw line. Jessica Shepard added 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Seattle did assemble one genuine stretch. The Storm scored the final 14 points of the second quarter and kept Dallas off the board for the last four minutes of the half. That run cut the halftime margin to 56-35, a number that gives a fair idea of how wide the gap had been before it.
Seattle’s season keeps shrinking
Flau’jae Johnson matched her career high with five three-pointers and led the Storm with 23 points. Jade Melbourne added 15 and Dominique Malonga scored 12. Natisha Hiedeman sat out with a shoulder injury.
Seattle now stands at 7-31, three straight losses and fourteen defeats in the last fifteen games. The Storm host Toronto on Wednesday.
