Rabbitohs vs New Zealand Warriors: Souths are untouchable at Accor Stadium 
Eight straight wins at Accor Stadium. That is the record the Rabbitohs bring to the table as they host the Warriors on Saturday night.
The Rabbitohs are fresh off a demolition job against the Bulldogs, held to just six points. Wayne Bennett has finally got a group defending the way he wants it.
Seventh with three rounds left, they are playing for far more than simple ladder position. A win here would almost lock up a spot in the top eight.
The Warriors arrive in third, level on points with Penrith, with a clear target: finish in the top two and get a home game in the first week of the finals. Andrew Webster will take charge of his 100th NRL match on the day.
But the New Zealand injury and selection mess has blown up this week. Luke Metcalf is out, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is suspended, and the spine has to be rebuilt from scratch.
One stat still jumps off the page: South Sydney have scored at least 28 points in nine of their last 10 meetings with the Warriors. There should be points in this one.
And to go against the grain, the visitors have won three of their last four trips to Accor Stadium against the Rabbitohs.
Rabbitohs: the big names are back, and it shows 
Friday’s win over the Bulldogs felt like a turning point. Canterbury were smothered and never found a way in.
That Rabbitohs revival has come with the return of David Fifita and Cameron Murray. Both men have made their presence felt over the last two rounds.
Fifita lines up in the second row, while Murray holds down the lock role. With them in the side, Souths have got back the punch they were missing through the middle.
Euan Aitken is promoted into the starting 13 to cover for Adam Elliott, who is battling a groin issue. Liam Le Blanc rounds out a six-man bench.
The big story this week, though, is Latrell Mitchell. He is listed among the reserves after 11 games out with a nerve problem in his lower back that affected his leg and calf. He has trained this week and is moving freely again.
Up front, Alex Johnston remains one of the scariest numbers in the competition for any defender: 18 tries in his last 12 games at Accor Stadium.

New Zealand Warriors: a powerful pack, a makeshift spine 
The Warriors have lost Luke Metcalf to a hamstring injury. Chanel Harris-Tavita drops back to half-back.
Alongside him, Luke Hanson comes in at five-eighth. It will be his second NRL game, after a debut in round 3.
Handing the keys to a player with that little experience on a ground where Souths have won eight on the spin is a forced gamble. That is the glaring weak spot in the New Zealand case.
Full-back changes as well, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad serving a two-game suspension for a hip-drop tackle. Taine Tuaupiki comes into the starting side.
The Warriors’ main strength is still their forward pack, led by James Fisher-Harris and Mitchell Barnett. That has carried them through recent weeks.
Morgan Gannon adds depth off the bench, but the balance still looks shaky. Without a proven playmaker, brute force alone rarely lasts for 80 minutes.

On the other side, a five-eighth playing his second senior game, a half-back shifted around, and a suspended full-back. A strong pack does not make up for three key positions being ripped apart in the same week.
