Seven games in seven months
Seven appearances. That is the whole of Mamadou Sarr’s Chelsea career since he arrived from Strasbourg in January, and it is nowhere near enough for a 20-year-old centre-back who needs games far more than he needs a London postcode.

A decision that shapes the next five years
Sarr has eight caps for Senegal at 20. His route through Strasbourg into Chelsea is textbook BlueCo, young players shuffled between clubs inside the group, and it worked right up until the minutes stopped.
The two options point in opposite directions. La Liga keeps him visible, in front of European scouts, still on the ladder. Saudi Arabia pays better and hides him at precisely the age when being seen matters most.
