The first round was the most comfortable, with a 2-1 win in Serbia against Vojvodina followed by a 3-0 return in Budapest. The 5-1 aggregate was their widest margin of the campaign.
The second round against Twente demanded much more. After winning 2-1 in the Netherlands, the Hungarian club had to hold a 2-2 draw at home to advance 4-3.
The third round against Gornik Zabrze showed a different, uglier side. A 1-0 win in Budapest and a 1-1 draw in Poland were enough for a 2-1 aggregate.
Across those six games, Ferencvaros have scored in every single one. That is the clearest stat from their European summer.
The trade-off is a defence that has been breached regularly. The Hungarian side have kept only two clean sheets in six qualifying matches.
So Ferencvaros arrive in Trabzon with rhythm, tie-hardened experience and an attack that keeps finding a way through. Their defensive weakness is still very much there.
They have won all three first legs this summer, including two away from home. This is a team that likes to take control early in two-legged ties.
