Five RBIs, a career high
Four straight losses. That was the baggage Kansas City brought into Anaheim.
Jac Caglianone sorted it out. Three hits in four at-bats, a homer and five RBIs. A career high. The Royals beat the Los Angeles Angels 7-6 overnight Friday into Saturday.
Michael Massey chipped in with three hits, a home run and two RBIs. Bobby Witt Jr. reached base three times and scored twice. Kansas City stayed perfect against the Angels this season, four games, four wins.

The lead changed hands five times
Massey opened the scoring in the second. His 10th homer of the season, 122 meters into the right-field seats. 1-0.
Third inning, bases loaded, Caglianone singles. Two runs score. 3-0.
Then the Angels woke up. Four runs in the same inning, including Nolan Schanuel’s three-run double and a run-scoring single from Zach Neto. 4-3 to Los Angeles.
Fifth inning: Caglianone grabs it back with a two-run homer to right-center off reliever Sammy Peralta. His 22nd of the season. His hit streak moves to 12 games, the longest active run in the majors.
The Angels level it up straight away, then Josh Lowe puts them back in front in the sixth with his ninth homer, 124 meters to right.
Seventh inning decides it
Witt lines a single with one out. Caglianone drives one to right. Witt scores from first, helped by a throwing error from shortstop Zach Neto that lets Caglianone reach second. Massey finishes the job with a single to right that brings Caglianone home. 7-6.
Alex Lange gets the win in relief, his second against seven losses. Steven Cruz works a clean ninth for his fourth save of the season. Tayler Saucedo gave up two runs in one-third of an inning for the Angels.
Schanuel finished with two hits and four RBIs, matching his career high. Not enough. Los Angeles saw a three-game winning streak snapped. Two games remain in the series.
