Kelsey Mitchell just keeps scoring. Last night, the Indiana guard put up 27 points against Chicago. More importantly, she logged her 16th straight game with at least 20 points, a single-season WNBA record.

The Fever won 90 to 86. Mitchell carried the offence when it mattered most in a game that stayed tight all the way. Chicago hung around, but never got in front when it counted.

Caitlin Clark did her bit too. The point guard finished with 26 points and 11 assists. The pair made the difference, one setting the table, the other finishing the job.

Indiana are building momentum. The team keep stacking wins and are back in the playoff hunt. The Sky, meanwhile, are still paying for their lack of consistency over 40 minutes.

Mitchell’s streak says plenty about her consistency. Twenty points or more, 16 games in a row. Very few players in the league can sustain that kind of production for this long.

The Fever now have a real attacking identity. The only question is whether they can keep it going through the end of the regular season.
