Carted off at practice
Jalon Walker was taken off the field on a cart yesterday during the Falcons training camp. The pass rusher hurt his left knee during a non-contact drill in 11-on-11 work.
NFL Network says an ACL tear is a possibility. An MRI will confirm the diagnosis. His teammates dropped to one knee around him, and that was the end of the session.

A setback for Atlanta’s young hope
Walker is 22. Atlanta took him 15th overall in the 2025 draft, a first-round pick meant to breathe life into the defence. His rookie season backed that up: 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and 36 tackles in 15 games.
An ACL tear would almost certainly wipe out the whole 2026 season. For a team counting on him to keep rising, the timing could hardly be worse.
Waiting on the MRI
The Falcons have not set a timetable. Everything hangs on the scan. If the worst is confirmed, Atlanta will have to reshuffle its defensive rotation before the season kicks off.
