Spurs push for a proven striker
Tottenham want Victor Osimhen. The London club opened talks with Galatasaray this week for the Nigeria striker, and the interest is real enough that Spurs have internal approval to chase the deal.
Tottenham are working toward a package in the region of 50 to 55 million pounds. Galatasaray see their man closer to 65 million and are in no rush to drop the number. That leaves a gap of roughly 10 million between the two clubs, the kind of distance that decides whether a transfer moves fast or drags into late August.
Osimhen has told people around him he is open to the move, according to reports in England and Turkey. His camp has not pushed back on personal terms, which usually means the salary side would not be the obstacle.

The numbers behind the chase
There is a reason Spurs are willing to spend. Osimhen scored 22 goals and added eight assists in 33 appearances for Galatasaray last season. Those are centre-forward numbers that most Premier League clubs would take without blinking.
He also carries a Serie A title from his Napoli days and a habit of punishing defences that sit too high. At 26, he lands in the window where clubs pay for prime years rather than potential.
Spurs are not alone
Manchester United and Chelsea have both kept tabs on the striker, and that competition could push Galatasaray’s asking price higher rather than lower. Tottenham moved first with a concrete approach, but the next few days will tell whether they can close before a rival jumps in.
