Dolphins vs Warriors : a top-of-the-table clash with finals written all over it
Super Saturday gets rolling with a fixture that would look right at home in September.
In Brisbane, the Dolphins and the Warriors meet in a battle between two sides now looking up the ladder rather than over their shoulders. Two different builds, two impressive runs, but the same goal: stay in the mix with the real finals contenders.
The mood should be electric. On one side, the Dolphins are riding a superb streak that has lifted them onto the podium. On the other, the Warriors keep proving week after week that they belong among the competition’s benchmark teams.
It has all the ingredients of one of the standout games of the round.
The Dolphins are growing in confidence
A few months ago, the Dolphins might have let a game like the one against the Tigers slip away.
This version looks different.
Even with a few messy defensive patches and 22 points conceded away from home, Kristian Woolf’s men found the answers every time the opposition tried to seize momentum before pulling away to win 36-22.
What stands out most is the control now running through their performances.
The Dolphins no longer look like they are punching above their weight. They look fully aware of what they do well and know how to exploit the big moments in a game.
Their attack keeps improving. Isaiya Katoa is emerging as the true conductor of this side, while Jeremy Marshall-King keeps the tempo humming around the ruck and makes life awkward for any defence in front of him.
The edges are getting quality ball, and the line breaks are starting to come.
Of course, it is not all perfect.
Last week’s 35 missed tackles were a reminder that there is still work to do before the business end of the season. Against a side as disciplined as the Warriors, those errors could get punished hard.
But the overall picture is still very good.
This team is improving fast, and the gradual return of their internationals only raises the ceiling.
The Warriors are back to near their best
After a few tougher weeks, the Warriors needed a response.
A home date with the Cowboys gave them the perfect chance to put things right.
For 40 minutes, it was fairly even. Then the New Zealand side turned the screw and showed exactly why they are still sitting near the very top of the ladder.
The 38-20 win in front of their own fans was a reminder to the rest of the competition that this team has more than one way to beat you.
The first is obvious: they work as a unit.
The Warriors are superb at stacking efforts, chewing up territory and then suffocating opponents once fatigue sets in.
But in recent weeks another weapon has become even more important: their work after contact.
Against the Cowboys, quick play-the-balls and second-phase football repeatedly scrambled the defence. The result was 10 line breaks and a flood of chances across the field.
Te Maire Martin continues to run the side superbly in the halves, while Wayde Egan remains one of the competition’s most influential players when it comes to controlling tempo.
Up front, Mitch Barnett is finding top gear again and Erin Clark is rolling on through a fine season.
Even without Jackson Ford, this team still has the depth and cohesion that make them one of the toughest opponents around right now.

NRL Prediction Dolphins vs Warriors
Jamayne Isaako to score a try
The Dolphins’ attack has been humming for weeks now, and Jamayne Isaako keeps being one of the main men cashing in on that collective surge.
There should be plenty of chances in a game that pits two sides with serious attacking ambition against one another.
With the creators around him, his finishing and his ability to spot even the smallest gap could easily make the difference again.
In a game that should be open and played at pace, Isaako has the tools to cross the line.
in your pocket.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We offer an opinion, a read on the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal from nowhere… and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks obvious, it never really is. And yes, that means you can lose. In fact, you will lose at some point.
- The best approach is to keep it sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Do not touch money you need to live. And above all: never chase your losses, because that rarely ends well.
- A bet should stay a bit of fun, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your life, winds you up or puts you under pressure, take a break. And if needed, speak to a specialist support service. That is what they are there for.
- In the end, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and never goes away, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must comply with the law in your country. Gambling can quickly spiral out of control, leading to money worries, family tension and addiction. Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? No commitment from us
Our predictions are not a contract. They have no legal force. Put simply: you cannot use them to demand anything if a bet loses.
Information can change
A prediction is always based on what we know when it is written. But then a team sheet changes, as it might with the Dolphins, a player gets hurt, the weather turns bad… and the analysis can quickly be out of date. We cannot be held responsible for that.
Your role
Before betting, make sure gambling is legal where you are. If it is not, that is your responsibility, not ours.
Responsible gambling first
