Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz are an NBA franchise based in Salt Lake City. Founded in 1974 as the New Orleans Jazz before relocating to Utah in 1979, the team kept an unusual name tied to its origins. The Jazz NBA are renowned for their consistency and strong collective identity.

The history of the Jazz NBA is defined above all by the legendary 1990s era duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone. Considered among the best at their positions, they led the franchise to the NBA Finals in 1997 and 1998, where Utah fell twice to the Chicago Bulls of Michael Jordan.

The Jazz were long synonymous with stability, stringing together many competitive seasons and regular playoff appearances, even without winning an NBA title. The team plays at the Delta Center, an arena known for its intense atmosphere and one of the most difficult home courts in the NBA for visiting teams.
