Florida Panthers – Seattle Kraken: Is Seattle the Panthers’ bogey team?
On the ice you’ve got two teams out of playoff contention, but that doesn’t mean they won’t put up a fight. Both still have individual talent enough to make the season end with some dignity.
Florida is clearly off the boil and keeps throwing away points. Seattle, patchy results aside, has shown it knows how to handle this matchup. Will the home side get revenge or will the visitors keep rubbing it in? Let’s pick it apart.
The Panthers can’t get it together
Sitting 14th in the Eastern Conference with 71 points, the Panthers have all but written off the playoffs and are limping toward the finish.
Form over the last five reads 2 wins, 3 losses. Sure, they produced a shock shutout against Edmonton, but that’s flanked by heavy defeats to Calgary and a pasting from Vancouver. Consistency? Nonexistent. They cough up defensive assignments, hand opponents acres of space, and — worst of all — can’t finish. Even when they control the play the puck rarely finds the net and they end up chasing games.
Seattle looks tactically tighter
The Kraken sit 10th in the West (71 points, 196 for, 213 against). They won’t see the postseason either, but they can put together clean, effective spells.
They arrive on the back of three straight losses — each by at least two goals — including defeats to Columbus (5-2) and Tampa Bay (6-2). But guess where their last big performance landed? Exactly: a convincing 6-2 win over… Florida. Overall, Seattle look better drilled. They play a cleaner game, limit mistakes in their zone, and that disciplined style punishes inconsistent teams.

NHL Pick Florida Panthers vs Seattle Kraken
Florida Panthers under 3.5 goals
The clearest play here is on Florida’s attack. The Panthers are treading water when it comes to finishing and squander a ridiculous number of chances. Even when they dominate possession, the puck stubbornly refuses to cross the line.
Seattle, meanwhile, are better organised at the back and know how to shut this group down. The head-to-head record is brutal: in their last six meetings with the Kraken, the Panthers have NEVER scored more than three goals. With that kind of offensive hang-up, backing Florida to finish under four goals tonight (Under 3.5) is a sharp, statistically sound pick.

First, a word about our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We give an opinion — a snapshot — not a guarantee. Sport stays what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there is no risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Do the sensible thing: bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should remain a pastime, not a job or an income source. If it takes over your life, stresses you out or annoys you, step away. If necessary, contact a specialist service. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis on earth.
- Important reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money losses, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Info changes fast
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and puck drop a lineup can change, a player can get injured, the weather can shift… and the analysis can go out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
