Toulouse – Lorient: The Stadium needs to roar again 
This Saturday the Stadium kicks off the new round with a tense mid-table scrap. Toulouse (11th) host Lorient (9th), desperate to close the gap and finally shove off the lingering threat of slipping down the table.
TFC have found their bite again 
Last week in Lorraine was pure madness. The Violets finally ended a dreadful six-game winless run by snatching a stoppage-time thriller at Metz (4-3). Before that it had been grim under Carles Martinez — flat, nervous, toothless.
But that gut-wrenching win did the squad the world of good. They didn’t crumble. The attack woke up, banging in four in 90 minutes — as many as in their previous seven top-flight matches combined. Solid against promoted sides this season, they return home buzzing and ready to end their home drought.
Lorient don’t travel well 
The visitors are riding confidence. Impressive last weekend, Olivier Pantaloni’s side nicked a big scalp from title hopeful Lens with a neat little attacking raid (2-1). That win stretched their unbeaten run to five and nudged them back into the European picture.
Trouble is, away trips tell a different story. Lorient have wilted on the road and dropped points in each of their last three league away games. Even if they haven’t lost in their last three visits to the Stadium, they’re liable to be flattened by Toulouse’s renewed momentum. A post-Lens hangover would turn nasty quickly in the south.

TFC are floating after that chaotic victory last week. The adrenaline has loosened the forwards, and they’ll be desperate to give the home crowd a proper, convincing win.
Across the pitch, Lorient burned a lot of energy — mentally and physically — in that prestige win over Lens. They’ve never been great at backing up big away results. Expect a slight drop-off from the Bretons, one the pumped-up Violets should pounce on. A Toulouse win is the likeliest outcome.
