Rayo Vallecano – Levante : Vallecas to decide the survival fight
Monday night, noisy Vallecas wraps up the LaLiga card with a scrap that smells of trouble. Rayo Vallecano (15th) want another result to put daylight between them and the drop; Levante (19th) arrive snarling, desperate to claw themselves out.
Rayo have one eye on Europe
Rayo are flying in the Madrid suburbs. Last week Inigo Perez’s side nicked a 3-1 win at Samsunspor in the Conference League first leg — perfect setup for the return. In the league they’re steady too: five matches unbeaten (W2 D3), including a solid point at Sevilla (1-1).
Sitting six points clear of the relegation zone, Rayo have turned Vallecas into a real fortress — only two home defeats all season and seven draws. They already beat Levante 3-0 earlier in the campaign and will want to repeat it. But don’t get carried away: European fatigue and inevitable rotation with a crucial second leg on Thursday could bite.
Levante won’t go down without a fight
Levante have flipped the panic switch. Sitting 19th and four points off safety, there’s no time for tinkering. Their defence has been porous — 45 goals conceded, the worst in the league — but things are stirring.
No more hanging heads every weekend: Luis Castro’s men have taken four points from their last two games, beating Alavés and scraping a draw with tough Girona. Oddly, they travel well for a low-ranked side — three of their five wins this season have come away. They should be fresher than Rayo and will likely sit in, absorb pressure and try to sting on the break.
Probable lineups
Rayo Vallecano : Batalla ; Ratiu, Lejeune, Mendy, Espino ; Valentin, Gumbau ; Martin, Diaz, A Garcia ; De Frutos
Levante : Ryan ; Toljan, Matturro, Moreno, Sanchez ; Arriaga, Rey ; V Garcia, Romero, Cortes ; Espi
Football Prediction Rayo Vallecano vs Levante
Draw
This is a classic banana-skin for Rayo. On paper they’re favourites and Vallecas is a hard place to beat, but half their heads will be on Thursday’s European second leg. Add inevitable rotation and you get cracks.
Levante are finding form and they need points like oxygen. Fresher, hungrier and dangerous on the counter, they’ve got the tools to nick a precious point. Expect a bruising, tight game and a share of the spoils.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We give a view — a snapshot reading — not a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and everything changes.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no bet without risk. Even when something looks “obvious”, nothing is safe. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Be sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live. And never chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a pastime, not a job or a source of income. If it starts to take over your life or stresses you out, take a break and get help from a specialist.
- Bottom line: responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk is real and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is illegal for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money losses, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No liability from us
Our predictions are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. You can’t rely on them to make any claim if a bet loses.
Information can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write. Between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn — and the analysis becomes outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
