For the Spurs this has been a dream season. At 43-17 they sit nicely in second in the West. Their basketball is clean, consistent — over 71% wins. They’d been on a four-game streak (Brooklyn, Toronto, Detroit, Sacramento) before stumbling badly in New York (89-114). Against the Knicks their offense flatlined: an appalling 26% from three and bench players who couldn’t finish on drives.
Popovich’s side will want revenge. Offensively they’re a machine: 118.5 points, 48% shooting and a hefty rebounding average (46.5). But they’re young and can blink when the crowd turns up, especially on the road. The real swing here is physicality. Victor Wembanyama is having a ridiculous season, but he still lacks the bulk to move giants like Embiid or Drummond around the rim. That could be decisive.

Expect a tight affair. The Spurs are top-quality this season, but Philly’s size and power inside will force San Antonio to grind. The bookmakers look a tad harsh on the home side. Backing Philly to cover +9.5 is a tempting angle. With both defenses coughing up points lately (Spurs over 111, Philly almost 116), pair that with an Over. The pace should be enough to push the scoreboard past 230 points.
