Strasbourg – Reims: Racing dreaming of the semis
Back to cup business for Strasbourg, who’ve earned a second quarter-final in three years. Tuesday night the Meinau will be rocking when Reims roll into town. Strasbourg got here by slicing up Monaco 3-1 in early February. Reims did their part too, seeing off Le Mans 3-0 without breaking sweat.
Strasbourg in cup mode
The Cup has been their oxygen this season. In knockout games Strasbourg turns into a proper goals factory — 11 strikes in just three matches. That’s a brutal contrast with their Ligue 1 woes, where they often struggle to score.
Under Gary O’Neil they’ve clicked into gear: unbeaten in 12 of their last 14 outings and only one slip at home in that stretch (a 2-1 loss to PSG). Tuesday’s match matters big time — a win puts them into the semis for the first time since their 2001 run. The Strasbourg side haven’t lost to lower-division opposition here since that shock 1-0 exit to Chambly in 2018. At the Meinau this Cup season they’ve been flawless. One quirk: you have to go back to 2001 and a 3-1 win over Lyon to find a home quarter-final victory.
Reims: road warriors
Reims are in the last eight for a second year running. Coached by Karel Geraerts, they’ve got one clear aim: promotion. Sitting third in Ligue 2, they’re a point behind Saint-Etienne and hunting an automatic spot.
In this Cup they’re nasty away from home. Four of their five wins came on the road, and their defense has been rock-solid — just one goal conceded in that run. Overall they’re on an insane away run: unbeaten in 12 of 13 and six clean sheets in seven. They’ve stumbled at the quarter stage twice in their last three attempts, but they know how to sting Strasbourg. The Red and Whites actually lead the knockout head-to-heads, including that old 1-0 win back in 1963.
Probable lineups
Strasbourg: Penders ; Doue, Hogsberg, Doukoure, Chilwell ; Barco, El Mourabet ; Moreira, Amougou, Enciso ; Nanasi
Reims: Olliero ; Sekine, Kone, Akieme, Busi ; Patrick, Gbane, Leoni ; Benhattab, Bojang, Nakamura
Football Prediction Strasbourg vs Reims
Strasbourg to Win
Reims have found it tough to score in the league lately. Up against a balanced Strasbourg side built for Cup fights and fired up by a noisy Meinau, the step up might be too big for the Ligue 2 visitors. The Racing have the tools and the momentum to seal it.

First, a word on our tips
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We give an opinion, a read on the moment — not a guarantee. Sport stays unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no bet without risk. Even when something looks “obvious”, it isn’t. Yes, that means you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best practice: be sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — that rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a pastime, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over, stressing you out or making you act differently, take a break. Talk to a specialist service if you need to. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Our tips are not a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t base a claim on them if a bet loses.
Information can change
A tip is based on what we know when we write it. In the meantime a lineup can change, a player can go down, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
