Sassuolo – Inter Milan: Inter in overdrive
Eleven matches unbeaten. A comfy lead at the top. Appetite still loud. Inter roll into Reggio Emilia on Sunday night itching to go again. Cristian Chivu’s team have pulled clear in 2026 and could be eight points ahead of AC Milan with another win. Sassuolo, though, don’t back down — solid mid-table and perfectly capable of tripping up the big boys. A possible banana skin. And a proper maturity test for a side running hot.
Sassuolo: awkward opponent, real threat
Don’t get cocky. Sassuolo have never been easy for Inter. Ten wins in 23 Serie A meetings, two wins in the last three duels, and a knack for upsetting the big sides. Sure, they lost 2-1 at San Siro earlier, but that memory is fresh.
Back in the top flight after a year in Serie B, the 2025 second-division champions look calm. On 29 points they sit comfortably in mid-table, well clear of the drop. Last week’s 3-1 win at Pisa confirmed it — Domenico Berardi set the tone early with a cool finish to kick off a clean victory.
Fabio Grosso has found a bit of momentum too: two league wins in a row for the first time since October, after a rough patch of three straight defeats. The ex-Inter defender now hosts his old club at the Mapei Stadium with one idea — pull off an upset and secure a fifth home win this season.
Inter Milan: everything’s purring, all systems go
The Scudetto chase is rolling with no sign of drama. Last week Inter saw off a hapless Cremonese — Lautaro Martinez and Piotr Zielinski on the scoresheet. That made it three wins in a row in all competitions, after a 6-2 rout of Pisa and a tidy 2-0 at Dortmund that set up a Champions League playoff with Bodo/Glimt.
As if that wasn’t enough, they booked a Coppa Italia semi on Wednesday. In Monza, with a rotated side while San Siro readied for the Winter Olympics opening, Inter did the job against Torino, 2-1. Next up: Napoli or Como for a place in the final.
Before next week’s clash with Juve, it’s Reggio Emilia — and that away record commands respect. Seven away games, seven wins in Serie A. That equals the club’s third-best run in league history. No small feat.

Football Pick Sassuolo vs Inter Milan
Inter to win by two goals or more
Sassuolo know how to make life awkward for Inter, but Inter’s current momentum is scary. Seven away wins on the spin in Serie A, serious attacking depth, and the sense they can strike at any moment. At this pace even the usual traps start to snap. Reggio Emilia will push and make life difficult, but Inter will be hunting three points.

First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We share an opinion, a read of the moment, not a guarantee. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script can flip.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best to stay sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it rarely ends well.
- Betting should stay a leisure activity, not a job or income source. If it takes over your life, stresses you out or annoys you, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- In the end, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means accepting the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow your country’s law. Gambling can spiral (financial loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions don’t form a contract. They carry no legal weight. Plainly: you can’t rely on them to demand compensation if a bet fails.
Info can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we publish. But lineups change (like Inter’s), a player gets injured, the weather turns… and the analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
