Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors – Free NBA Pick and Predictions – February 5, 2026

Phoenix Suns – Golden State Warriors: Phoenix running a defensive clinic?

The Suns and Warriors meet for the last time this season smack in the middle of the trade deadline — more moves could land before tip-off. Still, this is a 7-vs-8 West scrap: Phoenix itching to climb into the top six, Golden State desperate not to get swallowed by the Clippers.

Phoenix Suns: eyeing the top six

Even without Devin Booker, the Suns are cooking. When a team keeps winning without its star, it’s because something’s clicking. Over the last five games Jordan Ott’s men have taken four wins, including solid showings without their leader against Detroit (114-96) and Cleveland (126-113). Dillon Brooks — the current player of the week — has been scoring and defending at a high level, and it shows on the scoreboard.

Defence? They’re a nightmare, Booker or not. Just 111.6 points allowed per game — fifth-best in the league. Phoenix brings energy on that end no matter the lineup. That’s rare; if it was easy every team would do it. Win tonight and they’d have a golden chance to leapfrog the Lakers and slip back into the top six.

Golden State Warriors: once again without Steph

At the trade deadline the Warriors sent Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield out the door to bring in Kristaps Porzingis. The result? Steve Kerr has one fewer rotation piece available for the trip to the Mortgage Matchup Center. The key to staying in this game is scoring regularly and efficiently — something they failed to do against the Sixers (94-113).

Without Stephen Curry the offence goes flat. With only Draymond Green among the big names ready to roll, it’s hard to see the offence humming, especially against a defence as well-drilled as Phoenix’s. A win tonight would take a miracle — and they’d sure need one to keep the Clippers at a respectable distance in the standings.

NBA Pick Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors

Warriors to score under 106.5 points

Without Stephen Curry, the Warriors will likely struggle again. Against the 76ers they couldn’t find many answers without their superstar, and it’s hard to see who suddenly flips that script — especially after Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga were moved. Add in that Phoenix are one of the league’s best defences, and it would take a miracle for the Warriors to put together a respectable offensive night.

First, a word about our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds are opinions and analysis, nothing more. We offer a read of the moment, not a guarantee. Sport is messy: a red card, an injury, a freak moment and the whole script flips.
  • Let’s be blunt: every bet carries risk. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing is certain. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable sometimes.
  • Play smart. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — that almost never ends well.
  • Betting should be entertainment, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life or causing stress, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist — that’s what they’re there for.
  • Bottom line: responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and that it won’t disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
  • Important reminder: betting is prohibited for minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (financial loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No legal commitment

Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you can’t hold us liable if a bet goes south.

Information can change

A pick is based on what we know when we write it. But lineups shift, players get hurt, weather or travel issues happen — and the analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
