Oklahoma City Thunder vs Orlando Magic – Free NBA prediction and picks – February 3, 2026

Oklahoma City Thunder – Orlando Magic: another upset brewing in Oklahoma?

First meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Magic at the Paycom Center. Plenty of question marks over who will suit up for Oklahoma City — and that could swing this one either way. Whatever the lineup, Orlando will need one of its cleanest offensive nights to pry a win out of the champions on their own floor.

Oklahoma City Thunder: time to behave like the home favorites

The Thunder might turn up badly depleted tonight. With eight players on the injury report, Mark Daigneault will have to get imaginative with rotations. Still, OKC has shown it can roll with the punches — remember Aaron Wiggins’ 44-point outburst last season — and shooters like Isaiah Joe can torch a defense in a hurry.

Offense could take a hit if key names are missing. Defense won’t. At 108.0 points allowed per game, Oklahoma City is the stingiest defense in the league this year. Their defensive rating sits at 105.8 — elite, even without the stars. Bottom line: even shorthanded, OKC will make you earn every point.

INJURY REPORT : Jalen Williams (OUT) – Nikola Topic (OUT) – Ajay Mitchell (OUT) – Alex Caruso (doubtful) – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (questionable) – Chet Holmgren (questionable) – Jaylin Williams (questionable) – Isaiah Hartenstein (questionable)

Orlando Magic: chasing a statement win on the road

The Magic are still fighting for a top-six spot in the East. After losing to the Spurs (103-112), they’d come into that game on the back of two big wins over direct rivals — Miami (133-124) and Toronto (130-120). Beating the Thunder in OKC would restart their momentum and calm the nerves.

Franz Wagner remains out, so Paolo Banchero will be asked to carry the scoring load. Orlando’s offense sits 18th in the league (115.5 points per game), so they’ll need secondary scoring from the likes of Anthony Black or Jalen Suggs. Defensively, the Magic are middle of the pack, giving up 115.6 points on average.

NBA Pick Oklahoma City Thunder vs Orlando Magic

Over 216.5 points

With the uncertainty around the Thunder roster, the flow of the game is hard to predict. One thing’s clear: as reigning champs, OKC has a target on its back. The Magic will be hunting a scalp. These days an NBA game is more likely to clear 217 points than not, and this one fits the bill. Orlando has the scorers — Paolo Banchero chief among them — and even a patched-up Thunder can put up points.

A quick word on our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. It’s an opinion, a snapshot. Not a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, a late injury, a random hot streak — and the script flips.
  • Let’s be blunt: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even the “obvious” ones can go wrong. Yes, you can lose. And you probably will at some point.
  • Stay sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — that rarely ends well.
  • Betting should be entertainment, not a job or an income stream. If it’s taking over your life or stressing you out, step away. Get help from specialist services if you need to.
  • Ultimately, you are responsible. Reading our content means accepting the risk is real and won’t vanish because someone wrote a neat analysis.
  • Important reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and must follow your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No commitment from us

Our picks aren’t contracts. They carry no legal weight. You can’t use them to make a claim if a bet loses.

Information changes

A pick is based on what we know when we write it. Rosters shift, injuries happen, conditions change — and an analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
