New Orleans Pelicans – Memphis Grizzlies: rock bottom in the West
The Pelicans and Grizzlies meet in a game nobody’s putting on their weekend highlights, but it isn’t meaningless. New Orleans have looked sharper this past week, Memphis are wobbling, and that mix can produce an interesting contest.
New Orleans Pelicans: finally off the last spot?
Despite losing their last game to Oklahoma City (95-104), the Pelicans are in decent form. First plus: Dejounte Murray is the only name on the injury report — that’s rare enough to notice. They’ve also picked up two wins aside from the defeat to the defending champs, and not against minnows: they beat the Grizzlies (133-127) and the Spurs (104-95).
Still bottom of the Western Conference, New Orleans have no reason to tank this year since they don’t own the draft pick. Beating Memphis would likely move them ahead of the Kings and off the very bottom. Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III will lead the attack, trying to squeeze more out of the current momentum in Louisiana.

Memphis Grizzlies: stop the skid
Nothing’s gone right in Memphis since Tuomas Iisalo’s team returned stateside. Four games, four defeats, all against sides they should have handled. Apart from the Rockets loss (99-108), they’ve failed to beat the Hawks (122-124), the Pelicans (127-133) and the Hornets (97-112).
Ja Morant’s new injury clearly doesn’t help the offense, yet Memphis still rank fifth in assists per game (29.0) even with their star missing chunks of the season. That said, the attack has been middling — 114.8 points per game, 20th in the league.

NBA prediction New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies
Pelicans to win
The Pelicans have clearer momentum than Memphis. Both teams have underwhelmed this season, but New Orleans are fresher — an extra day off — and they carry more one-on-one firepower with Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III compared to Jaren Jackson Jr. At home, James Borrego’s side have a solid shot at taking this.

First, a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We offer an opinion — a snapshot of the moment — not a guarantee. Sport stays unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal, and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks obvious, it can go wrong. Yes, you can lose. It will happen.
- Best approach is sensible play. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live. And don’t chase losses — that rarely ends well.
- Betting should remain entertainment, not a job or income source. If it’s taking over, making you anxious or stressed, step back. If needed, contact a specialist service for help.
- Ultimately, the responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t vanish, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (financial loss, family strain, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No legal commitment from us
Our picks do not form a contract. They carry no legal weight. In plain terms: you cannot rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.
Info changes
A prediction is based on what we know when we write. Lineups change, a player gets injured, conditions shift — and an analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for those changes.
Your responsibility
Before placing a bet, check that gambling is legal where you are. If it isn’t, that’s your responsibility, not ours.
Responsible gambling first
We’ll say it again: play in moderation. If you struggle to control it, seek help sooner rather than later. We cannot be responsible for compulsive or excessive use of the information published here.
