Houston Rockets – San Antonio Spurs: Texas Throwdown
The Rockets and Spurs meet for the third — and penultimate — regular-season showdown, barely a week after Houston left town with the win. Spurs will want revenge. Rockets will try to prove that victory wasn’t a one-off. Expect a nasty, competitive scrap.
Houston Rockets: use the home court
Five wins in six. That’s not luck, it’s form. And those wins didn’t come against puppies: Minnesota (110-105), San Antonio (111-106) and Detroit (111-104) are solid scalps. Ime Udoka’s squad looks like it’s peaking at the right time.
What separates Houston is defense. They allow just 110.5 points per game — fourth-best in the league. Offensively they aren’t shabby either, scoring 116.7 points per game (12th). Against the Spurs they’ll need to hit those marks on both ends to have a chance.

San Antonio Spurs: out for revenge
Four wins in six and the Spurs are cruising near the top of the West. Back-to-back beatdowns of Utah (126-109, 123-110) have the offense humming, but they’ve also shown a worrying habit of throwing games away after big leads — remember the 16-point collapse to Houston (106-111).
They also got caught cold in New Orleans (95-104), once down by 20. Still, San Antonio sit with the 7th-best defense (112.4 allowed) and the 10th-best offense (117.4 scored). Second in the West says the season’s been a success so far. A win in Houston would ease the standings and could pay dividends for tiebreakers later.

NBA Prediction Houston Rockets vs San Antonio Spurs
Under 224.5 points
This one matters for tiebreakers, so expect playoff-level intensity — long possessions, brutal defense, few giveaways. With two teams who defend like the Spurs and Rockets, a low-scoring, controlled slog is the likeliest script.

First, a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds are analyses — opinions, not promises. We give a read on the moment. The sport stays unpredictable. A red card, a late injury, a miracle play and everything flips.
- Let’s be blunt: every bet carries risk. Nothing is truly certain, even when it looks obvious. Yes, you can lose. And you will, at some point.
- Stay sensible. Bet small. Set a bankroll and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need for living. And never chase losses — it never ends well.
- Betting should be a pastime, not a job or income source. If it takes over your life, makes you anxious or stressed, step away. If needed, reach out to a specialist organization for help.
- Ultimately, responsibility is yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk remains — even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family strain, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No promises from us
Our picks aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t hold us liable if a bet doesn’t land.
Information can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Lineups shift, injuries happen, weather and travel interfere — and the analysis can go out of date fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.
Your role
Before you bet, check that betting is legal where you live. If it isn’t, that’s on you, not us.
Responsible gambling first
We’ll say it again: gamble in moderation. If you’re losing control, get help now. We can’t be responsible for compulsive or excessive use of the info on this site.
