Frankfurt – Tottenham: bow out with some pride at Deutsche Bank Park
Already knocked out, Eintracht Frankfurt host Tottenham on Wednesday for the final group game. Frankfurt have nothing to play for; the Spurs still need a win to secure automatic qualification.
Frankfurt in trouble this season
The fall has been brutal for Eintracht. After a solid Bundesliga campaign last year, the club has hit a rough patch in 2025-26. The 3-1 defeat to Hoffenheim last weekend stretched a winless run that’s starting to bite. At home, Frankfurt haven’t found any consistency.
In the Champions League the picture is clear: one win in seven and sitting at the bottom of the group, well off the qualifiers. Jonathan Burkardt’s absence has been costly. He started the season well and nobody has stepped up to replace him.
Wednesday’s objective is simple — at least give the home crowd something to cheer about.
Tottenham closing in
Tottenham head to Germany with a totally different mood. The Spurs are well placed to go straight through to the last 16. Despite patchy league form, their European run has held up. A win in Frankfurt would avoid the play-offs.
The London side have shown they can pick apart shaky defenses. Against a struggling Frankfurt, Tottenham know they have a real chance.
Likely line-ups
Eintracht Frankfurt : Kaua ; Collins, Koch, Theate ; Kristiansen, Skhiri, Larsson, Brown ; Doan, Knauff, Uzun
Tottenham : Vicario ; Porro, Van de Ven, Romero, Udogie ; Gray, Sarr ; Odobert, Simons, Spence ; Solanke
Football Predictions Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham
Over 2.5 goals
Frankfurt have been leaking goals for weeks. Their matches tend to open up. Tottenham should create chances and the tempo could be high, especially if the game opens up early.

First up: a word on our picks
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. It’s our take — a snapshot, not a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the whole script changes.
- Let’s be clear: there is no risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best plan: stay sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
- Betting should stay a hobby, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over, stressing you or causing problems, take a break. If needed, contact a specialist organization — that’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means accepting the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow local law. Gambling can spiral out of control (financial loss, family tension, addiction). Need help? Players Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13 (non-premium call) https://www.gambleaware.org/.

Information changes
A tip is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and kick-off a team sheet can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
