Minnesota Timberwolves – Chicago Bulls: Playoff push

The Wolves host the Bulls for the second and final meeting of the season. Minnesota need a confidence shot after a rough patch; Chicago can even the ledger and keep dreaming of a top-six spot in the East.

Minnesota Timberwolves: time to bounce back

Three straight defeats were enough to drop them out of the West top six — brutal, but not fatal. Minnesota lost to the Rockets (105-110), Spurs (123-126) and then got caught cold by the Jazz (122-127). Not catastrophic. Just a run of bad endings. Finch’s men were close each time; late-game details did them in.

This game against Chicago is a perfect chance to reset at home (15-6 at the Target Center this season) before two games against the Warriors, who sit just behind them. The Wolves have an elite offense (120.1 points per game, 3rd in the league), but it’ll be their defense that decides tonight. With the 12th-ranked defense (115.0 points allowed), Minnesota has the tools to disrupt the visitors.

Chicago Bulls: a win to mark Giddey’s return?

The Bulls come in on full wins over the Nets (124-102) and Clippers (138-110). Their attack is humming — 8th in the NBA at 117.9 points per game — but those two results were driven by rare defensive showings from a side that usually concedes about 120.0 a night. Encouraging, especially if Josh Giddey is back after several weeks out.

Chicago got trounced by Minnesota in late December (101-136). With Minnesota close to full strength, the Wolves could replicate that offensive outing. The Bulls might need to switch gears — tighten the half-court, slow the tempo — to avoid getting steamrolled again.

NBA Pick Minnesota Timberwolves vs Chicago Bulls

Over 235.5 points

The Wolves will have the crowd and they’ll do everything to avoid a fourth straight loss in a razor-tight West. With the Warriors up next, Finch’s squad need a confidence boost. The Bulls are hot and want to keep rolling. Both teams push the pace and pile on points — expect an uptempo, high-scoring night.

First, a word on our picks

  • What we publish on Mathodds are analyses, nothing more. We give an opinion, a snapshot of the moment — never a promise. Sport is unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak play… and the match flips.
  • Let’s be clear: there’s no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it often isn’t. Yes, you can lose. It will happen at some point.
  • Be sensible. Stake small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need for rent or bills. And don’t chase losses — it almost always ends badly.
  • Betting should be entertainment, not a job or a way to pay the bills. If it’s taking over your life, stressing you out or making you act differently, step back. Talk to a specialist if needed.
  • At the end of the day, responsibility sits with you. Reading our content means you accept the risk is real and never fully disappears, no matter the analysis.
  • Important reminder: betting is banned for minors and must follow your local laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.

No guarantees from us

Our picks are not contracts. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to demand compensation if a bet loses.

Info can change

A pick is based on what we know when we write. Lineups change, players get injured, conditions shift — and the analysis can become outdated fast. We can’t be held responsible for that.

Your role
