Cagliari – Juventus: Bianconeri aiming to stay in the Scudetto hunt
On Saturday Juventus head to Sardinia with one clear job: keep the pressure on the top three. Cagliari, struggling and flirting with the drop, knows it needs a miracle to stop the Turin machine.
Juventus: a remade team looking up
Juve restarted the second half of the season with a bang. Monday’s 5-0 at Cremonese reminded everyone Spalletti’s side isn’t the team from early autumn. Bremer opened the scoring, then the Bianconeri ran riot — their biggest Serie A win since 2018. Since Spalletti arrived in early November only Inter have grabbed more points. The defence, long a problem, is back to being a unit: five clean sheets in seven matches, Bremer bossing the backline. Juve have won three straight away and want to stretch that run before two big tests: Benfica in Europe, then Napoli in the league. The first game went Turin’s way (2-1), thanks to a Kenan Yildiz brace. The record’s blunt: nine games unbeaten against Cagliari, who haven’t beaten Juve since 2020.
Cagliari: scrapping, but short on solutions
Cagliari are in a rough patch. One point from their last three matches and a heavy 3-0 loss to direct rival Genoa on Monday. Fabio Pisacane keeps them above the drop line, but the margin’s tiny: the Sardinians are 16th and Fiorentina — 18th — are coming fast. The fault is obvious: not enough goals, too many conceded, and only two home wins all season. Against a confident Juve the balance looks tilted.
Probable line-ups
Cagliari :
Caprile ; Zappa, Rodriguez, Luperto ; Palestra, Adopo, Prati, Mazzitelli, Obert ; Esposito, Kilicsoy
Juventus :
Di Gregorio ; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly ; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso ; Miretti, Yildiz ; David
What to take away
- Juve have won five of their last six matches.
- Cagliari have taken just one point from their last three outings.
- The Sardinians have won only twice at home this season.
- Juve are unbeaten in nine games against Cagliari.
- Spalletti has fixed the defence: five clean sheets in the last seven matches.

Juventus to win
Everything points to another Turin win. With a solid squad, Juventus should win comfortably
First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We share an opinion, a snapshot of the moment, never a guarantee. Sport stays unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no bet without risk. Even when something looks ‘obvious’, it rarely is. And yes, that means you can lose. It will happen at some point.
- Best advice: be sensible. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live on. And don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
- Betting should stay a game, not a job or a source of income. If it takes over your life, makes you anxious or stressed, take a break. If needed, talk to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re for.
- Ultimately the responsibility’s yours. Reading our content means you accept the risk exists and won’t disappear, even with the best analysis in the world.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden to minors and must follow the law in your country. Gambling can spiral (loss of money, family tensions, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment from us
Our predictions aren’t a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to demand anything if a bet loses.
Info that can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. But team sheets change, players get injured, the weather turns… and the analysis can become out of date. We can’t be held responsible for that.
