Edmonton fights back, but falls short

The Oilers pushed hard. Evan Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each had a goal and an assist, Leon Draisaitl scored, and Tristan Jarry stopped 31 shots in net.

Connor McDavid took the secondary assist on Draisaitl’s goal. It stretched his assist streak to 16 games, the longest by anyone at the start of an NHL season. Edmonton still left without the second point.
