Fulham – Chelsea : a tense West London derby
With or without Liam Rosenior officially in charge, Chelsea head to Craven Cottage for a derby that always matters. Both neighbours nicked late draws: the Blues held Manchester City (1-1), while Fulham grabbed Liverpool for a 2-2.
Chelsea : a valuable point, fragile momentum
Thrown onto the bench after Enzo Maresca’s sudden exit, Calum McFarlane hasn’t had a moment to breathe. At the Etihad, Man City dominated long spells but paid for a lack of cutting edge.
Reijnders had pushed the Blues towards a shock, until Enzo Fernandez nicked an equaliser in the dying seconds, sparking wild scenes in the away end.
The point is handy, but Chelsea are in a sticky patch: four Premier League games without a win and their top-four spot under threat.
They’re only three points behind Liverpool, so a win could shove them back into the top four — whether under McFarlane or Rosenior, who’s expected to take over.
Biggest worry: away form. Chelsea have won just once in their last six trips and are four away league games without victory.
Fulham : a run that changes everything
Like Chelsea, Fulham scraped an unlikely draw last weekend.
Just when Gakpo looked to have given Liverpool the win, Harrison Reed produced one of the goals of the season in stoppage time — a long-range strike out of nowhere.
That point stretched the Cottagers’ run to five Premier League games without defeat, 11 points from the last 15.
They were expected to struggle without Bassey, Iwobi and Chukwueze at AFCON, but Fulham keep scoring and causing headaches for opponents.
At home, Marco Silva’s men have found the net in 11 of 12 matches — only Arsenal managed to silence them.
The record against Chelsea still hurts: four defeats in the last five meetings, including a 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge in August.
Compositions probables
Fulham :
Leno ; Cuenca, Andersen, Diop ; Castagne, Berge, Lukic, Robinson ; Wilson, Kevin ; Jimenez
Chelsea :
Jorgensen ; James, Chalobah, Badiashile, Gusto ; Caicedo, Fernandez ; Estevao, Pedro, Neto ; Delap
What to remember
- Fulham are on a five-match unbeaten run.
- Chelsea haven’t won any of their last four Premier League away trips.
- Both teams snatched late draws on the last matchday.
- Fulham almost always score at home.

Prediction Fulham vs Chelsea
Both teams to score
Fulham are a pain to play against at Craven Cottage, especially with a well-drilled back three. Chelsea are unpredictable and patchy, but they’ve still got the quality to unlock a defence. Expect a tight game, maybe low on goals, but both sides can get on the scoresheet.
First, a word on our predictions
- What we publish on Mathodds is analysis, nothing more. We offer an opinion, a snapshot read, never a guarantee. Sport is what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a freak goal… and the script flips.
- Let’s be clear: there’s no risk-free bet. Even when something looks “obvious”, it rarely is. Yes, you can lose. It’s inevitable at some point.
- Best plan: be sensible. Bet small, set a bankroll and stick to it. Don’t touch money you need to live. And don’t chase losses — it almost never ends well.
- Betting should be a game, not a job or a source of income. If it’s taking over your life, making you anxious or stressed, take a break. If needed, speak to a specialist organisation. That’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility sits with you. Reading our pieces means accepting that risk exists and it won’t disappear, even with the best analysis.
- Important reminder: betting is forbidden for minors and must comply with your country’s laws. Gambling can spiral (money loss, family tension, addiction). Need Help? Call 1-800-GAMBLER. In the UK? Visit https://www.gambleaware.org/https://www.gambleaware.org/.
No commitment on our part
Our predictions don’t form a contract. They carry no legal weight. In short: you can’t rely on them to claim anything if a bet loses.
Info that can change
A prediction is based on what we know when we write it. Between then and kick-off a line-up (like West Ham’s) can change, a player can get injured, the weather can turn… and the analysis becomes outdated. We can’t be held responsible for that.
