Bournemouth vs Leeds United: four straight wins against a side stuck on draws Premier League

Bournemouth won 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. It was their fourth win in a row in all competitions and their third in a row without conceding, after a 2-0 home win over Sunderland on 18 October and a 3-0 against a ten-man AC Milan in the Europa League four days later.

Leeds United come to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday 31 October, kick-off 15:00 UK time, without a league win in four. Daniel Farke’s side drew 0-0 at Sunderland last weekend, a week after a 1-1 with Manchester United, and before that they lost 2-1 at Arsenal and drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace.

The table still has Leeds higher. They’re seventh on 11 points from eight games (W2 D5 L1), with nine goals scored and six conceded. Bournemouth are 13th on nine points (W2 D3 L3), and their goal difference of minus one still carries the 5-1 defeat at Chelsea on 10 October.

The last two meetings both finished 2-2, at Elland Road on 27 September 2025 and on the south coast on 22 April 2026. Across the last eight, Leeds have won four, Bournemouth two, and two were drawn.

Marco Rose has the busier week. Bournemouth host Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup last 16 on Wednesday at 19:45, while Leeds went out of the League Cup in September, beaten 6-3 at Chelsea, and have had seven days to prepare. I’d still rate the home side’s form above three extra days of rest.

The market makes Bournemouth favourites at 2.36, with the draw at 3.54 and Leeds at 3.23. Those prices lean on the last month rather than the table, and the last month is all Bournemouth.

Bournemouth: nine scored and none conceded in their last three games Bournemouth

The Milan win came with two penalties, from Kluivert and Tavernier, and a direct free-kick from Adli. Rose’s side have now won all three of their Europa League games, scoring eight and conceding one, after a 3-0 home win over Sturm Graz on 15 October.

That’s a different team from the one that lost 1-0 at home to Liverpool on 20 September and conceded five at Stamford Bridge three weeks later. Since the Chelsea defeat, Bournemouth have gone four games without losing and three without letting in a goal.

The home league record is the weaker part of the picture. In four games at the Vitality they’ve won one, drawn two and lost one, scoring five and conceding four: 1-1 with Everton, 2-2 with Brentford, 0-1 against Liverpool and 2-0 against Sunderland.

Tavernier has been their most productive player so far, and Evanilson leads the line. Scott (thigh) isn’t expected back until around 8 November, and Araujo, Tóth and Kroupi are also on the injury list.

The cup tie on Wednesday should be a chance to rotate. Rose has changed his side between league and Europe without dropping results, and the back four that kept Milan out, Hill, Silva and Truffert among them, has started to look settled.

Leeds United: five draws in eight and nine league goals Leeds United

Leeds have drawn five of their eight Premier League games. The last two were the 1-1 at home to Manchester United on 18 October, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored, and Sunday’s goalless draw at the Stadium of Light against the side bottom of the table.

The defence is why they’re seventh. Six conceded in eight games is a strong return, and away from Elland Road they’ve let in four in four: a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, 1-1 at Brighton, a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal and the 0-0 on Wearside.

Scoring is the problem. Leeds have nine league goals, four of them in the 4-1 win over Newcastle on 14 September, and that remains their last league win. Calvert-Lewin is the top scorer and a doubt again this week, with reports split between a hamstring and a foot problem, although he started at Sunderland.

He isn’t the only concern. Joe Rodon (hamstring) isn’t expected back until around 21 November and Mateo Joseph is out with a knee injury, while Stach, James and Okafor are all listed as doubts. Elvedi missed the Sunderland game through illness.

Bahoya, on loan with a £26m obligation to buy, has played five league minutes, so the attacking cover behind Calvert-Lewin is thin. Wilson and Aaronson started at Sunderland, and Bijol came into the back line for the absent Elvedi.

There’s no instability at the top, with Farke reported to have agreed in principle to a contract until 2029. Leeds have named the same starting XI four matches running, and that consistency hasn’t produced a league win since mid-September.

Our prediction: Bournemouth to win (2.36)

I’m backing Bournemouth to win at 2.36. Four straight wins, three clean sheets in a row and nine goals in their last three games make them the side in form, and they’re at home against a team that hasn’t won a league game since 14 September.

Leeds have the better league position and a defence that has conceded six in eight. Against that, they’ve scored nine, two of their last four league games have finished 0-0, and their main goal threat may not be fully fit.

The Wednesday cup tie against Villa is the risk to this pick, since Bournemouth will have had three days’ rest. Rose has already shown in the Europa League that a changed side can keep winning, and Leeds haven’t created enough lately to punish a home team that has stopped conceding.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
