Defense and a kicker decide it in Saint-Denis
Pittsburgh beat New Orleans 16-10 at the Stade de France on Sunday, the first NFL game played in Paris. The Steelers moved to 5-2 and won for the third time in a row. The Saints dropped to 2-5.
Chris Boswell supplied most of the points, with field goals from 28, 47 and 39 yards. His 47-yarder came as the first half expired and gave Pittsburgh a 13-10 lead at the break. Aaron Rodgers threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Darnell Washington in the second quarter, and Tyler Shough answered with a 1-yard score to Devaughn Vele to level the game at 10.

A second half with no Saints points
New Orleans never scored after halftime. Payton Wilson intercepted Shough near the Steelers’ 10-yard line, and Daniel Carlson pushed a 52-yard field goal try wide right. Shough finished with 278 passing yards, one touchdown and that interception.
On the ground the gap was huge. Jaylen Warren ran for 101 yards, and the Saints managed just 18 rushing yards as a team, 130 fewer than Pittsburgh. Rodgers killed the clock late with an 8-yard scramble on third-and-6.
Rodgers moves up a list
The touchdown to Washington was the 540th of Rodgers’ career, which puts him third on the NFL’s all-time list for touchdown passes. He also hit DK Metcalf on a 51-yard completion.
