Goztepe vs Corum FK – Free Football Prediction

Goztepe vs Corum FK: 14 goals in five for the visitors, one home point for the hosts Super Lig

Corum FK have scored 14 goals in their last five Super Lig matches. They won 5-1 at Samsunspor, 3-0 at Gaziantep and 3-0 at home to Eyupspor during that run, and conceded four in total.

Goztepe host them at the Gursel Aksel Stadium in round nine on Sunday 25 October, with kick-off at 16:00 UK time (19:00 local), on the day the clocks go back in Britain.

The table leans towards the visitors: Corum have 13 points from eight games, with four wins, one draw and three defeats. Goztepe are 13th on nine points, four back, after two wins, three draws and three defeats.

Goztepe do arrive in better shape than they did a fortnight ago. They went six league games without a win before beating Eyupspor 4-0 away, then won 2-1 at Kocaelispor last time out. Both of those wins came on the road.

At home, Stanimir Stoilov’s side have one point from three league games this season: a 1-0 defeat to Genclerbirligi, a 4-2 loss to Gaziantep and a 2-2 draw with Caykur Rizespor.

There’s no top-flight history between the clubs. They met twice in the second tier in 2023-24, and Goztepe didn’t win either game, drawing one and losing the other.

Goztepe: two away wins in a row, one point from three games in Izmir Goztepe

The 4-0 at Eyupspor ended a six-match league run without a victory, three draws and three defeats. The 2-1 at Kocaelispor followed, with an own goal by Show on 24 minutes and a Novatus Miroshi strike on 77 before Berkan Kutlu pulled one back from the penalty spot.

Goals haven’t been the problem in Izmir or anywhere else. Goztepe have scored 12 in their last five league games and conceded nine, every one of those matches has gone over 2.5 goals, and four of them saw both sides score.

Juan leads the scoring with five league goals and is expected to start up front alongside Andre Henrique, with Janderson the option off the bench.

Stoilov is missing four players through injury. Furkan Bayir (knee), Ibrahim Sabra (ankle ligaments), Allan Godoi (knee ligament) and Ogun Bayrak are all out, and goalkeeper Luka Gugeshashvili has reportedly been left out of the squad. Ozcimen should keep goal behind a back three of Altikardes, Sundberg and Bokele.

Across their last ten matches, Goztepe have taken 119 shots and put 42 on target for 20 goals. Miroshi and Rhaldney should start in the middle again, with Kurtulan and Akonnor on the flanks and Antunes behind the front two.

I’m not convinced by this back line. Nine conceded in five games is a lot, and four of those came at this same ground against Gaziantep.

Corum FK: 12 goals from four away trips and two strikers on four each Corum FK

Burak Yilmaz’s side have taken seven points from four away games, winning at Samsunspor and Gaziantep, drawing 2-2 at Galatasaray and losing 6-2 at Besiktas, and they’ve scored 12 goals on those four trips.

The Besiktas game is the one heavy defeat on the record. Since then they’ve won four of five league games, the exception a 2-1 home defeat to Alanyaspor, and they beat Caykur Rizespor 2-1 last time out.

Alexandros Kyziridis and Jesus Ramirez share the scoring with four league goals each, and Ramirez is expected to lead the line with Kyziridis and Under behind him.

Corum have also tightened up at the back: four conceded in the last five games is a real change for a side that let in six in one afternoon in Istanbul, and two of those five ended in clean sheets.

Over the same ten-match span, Corum have scored 22 from 94 shots, 39 of them on target, and conceded 13. They’ve needed fewer chances than Goztepe to score more goals.

Corum will be without Serdar Saatci and Fredy, who has a broken toe, while Emircan Gurluk is a doubt. Felipe should start in goal behind a back three of Penetra, Soyuncu and Smolcic.

Probable lineup Goztepe: Ozcimen; Altikardes, Sundberg, Bokele; Kurtulan, Rhaldney, Miroshi, Akonnor; Antunes; Juan, Henrique
Probable lineup Corum FK: Felipe; Penetra, Soyuncu, Smolcic; Sazdagi, Ozdemir, Diomande, Borza; Kyziridis, Under; Ramirez

Free Football Prediction: Goztepe vs Corum FK

Our prediction: Corum FK or draw (double chance X2) at 1.67

Corum are priced at 3.00 to win, with Goztepe at 2.15 and the draw at 3.50. I think the market has that the wrong way round, because the visitors have more points, a better recent run and the better away numbers, and they face a side that has taken one point from three home games.

Goztepe’s two away wins and an attack that has scored in each of its last five league games are the case for the hosts. Against that, they’ve conceded nine in the same run and lost twice at home already, once by 4-2.

I’d back Corum or the draw at 1.67. Corum have scored three or more in three of their last five league games, Goztepe failed to beat them in two second-tier meetings in 2023-24, and the double chance still pays on a 2-2.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
