Booked early Sunday
Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart was arrested over the weekend on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, according to Portland ABC affiliate KATU. Springfield, Ore., police booked him early Sunday morning, and he was later released. The school had not commented as of Monday morning.
Stewart missed Saturday’s 17-14 home win over Nebraska with an undisclosed injury, so the arrest lands in a week when his availability was already unclear.

The Ducks’ top target
Stewart leads Oregon with 27 catches and 352 receiving yards this season, and his four touchdown receptions are tied for the team high. The senior from Memphis, Tenn., has 166 career catches for 2,128 yards and 15 touchdowns in 36 games for Texas A&M (2022-23) and Oregon (2024, 2026). He missed all of 2025 with a torn patellar tendon.
Oregon is 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten. The Ducks travel to Illinois (3-3, 1-2) on Saturday. Whether Stewart plays depends on his injury and on whatever discipline the program decides, and no decision has been announced.
