Key goes down after the London win
The Indianapolis Colts placed defensive end Arden Key on injured reserve Saturday with a hamstring injury. He got hurt in Indianapolis’ 30-13 win over the Washington Commanders last Sunday in London.
Key, 30, signed as a free agent in March and had started all four games for the Colts, who were 2-2 at the time of the injury. He leaves with eight combined tackles, one forced fumble, half a sack and three quarterback hits.
Half a sack is a modest return for a pass rusher. Still, the Colts leaned on him in the starting lineup from the first week.

A well-traveled career
This is Key’s sixth NFL team. The Raiders drafted him in the third round in 2018 out of LSU, and he played for them through 2020 before stops with the 49ers in 2021, the Jaguars in 2022 and the Titans from 2023 to 2025.
Across 120 regular-season games and 50 starts, he has 200 combined tackles, 31 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Those totals show a rotational rusher who has rarely been a full-time fixture.
Indianapolis also made a second move on Saturday, promoting wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to the active roster. He has appeared in two other games this season.
