KhaDarel Hodge agrees to terms with the San Francisco 49ers

NFL: 49ers sign WR KhaDarel Hodge after Pearsall blow

San Francisco patches the receiver room

The San Francisco 49ers reached a contract agreement with wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge on Wednesday, ESPN reported. The team did not disclose terms. The move answers a growing problem at the position.

San Francisco lost Ricky Pearsall to a season-ending knee injury. Pearsall, a 2024 first-round pick, first hurt the knee in Week 4 last season. He owns 67 catches for 928 yards and three touchdowns across 20 career games.

What Hodge brings

Hodge, 31, spent the past four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. He worked mostly on special teams and logged three catches for 31 yards in 12 games in 2025. His career line reads 67 receptions for 1,026 yards and two scores over 118 games.

He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has suited up for the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions and Falcons. San Francisco adds him for depth and coverage-team value rather than star production.
